The zeolites are a popular assemblage of minerals, containing an indispensable source of minerals for industrial and productive purposes. They possess complexity, scarcity and splendour. Zeolites form in the cavities of volcanic rocks, as a result of low level metamorphism. Varying types and qualities of the mineral is a result of the combination of heat and pressure, with some forming from minimal amounts of heat and pressure, while others are formed in regions of high metamorphic activity. This group has even been seen to form in space… experimentally grown aboard a space shuttle. The Zeolites have been receiving increasing attention for their aesthetics and productive functions, being the subject of widespread research into their formation and unique properties. Approximately 250,000 years ago, in the Rotorua-Taupo region, a unique event involving intense volcanic activity generated giant tephra deposits, which were then subsequently eroded into lakes through an alluvial process, forming deep beds of sediment. Subsequent thermal activity based on the surface, pressured water well above boiling temperature, up through these beds transforming the clays into soft rocks. These newly formed rocks possessing ordered internal structural sequences, were termed zeolites. These forces created the Ngakuru mines, which produce Clinoptilolite zeolites that are renowned for their crystal habit, density, water absorption and heat tolerance. As a result, there is much demand for Clinoptilolite from this volcanic region, as well as the companies producing and utilising the zeolites for innovative applications. Although Clinoptilolite is not the most recognised of the Zeolite group, it is one of the most researched and commercially utilised, being employed in many applications. It currently has been used as a chemical sieve, a gas absorber, a feed and food additive, an odour control agent and as a water filter for residential drinking water. Clinoptilolite is ideal for these types of functions due to its resisting abilities to intense heat, a neutral chemical structure and its absorbing qualities as a result of its sizeable pore space. Clinoptilolite has been employed for some time as an additive to animal feeds. Through the aforementioned properties it possess, it is able to absorb any toxin found formed by microscopic parasites, while enhancing food absorption. Additionally, this mineral can easily attract ammonia and other toxic gases from air and water and thus can be used in filters, both for health reasons and for odour removal. Moreover, Zeolites have been advocated by the New Zealand Sports Institute as suitable for additive to sand based sports turf areas, in particular golf and bowling greens.

Liquid Zeolite Activation – What Does It Mean?

I've been troubled by the sheer numbers of new zeolite products cropping up on the market. Don't get me wrong! I think a little competition is healty. What troubles me is that these companies are placing an inferior product on the market because they do not understand, or they do not care, about how to properly process zeolite!

 

Is Zeolite Poisonous?

No the zeolite molecules are not poisonous. HOWEVER, zeolites are like magnets that attract heavy metals like mercury, lead and cadmium. Even radioactive elements like strontium are attracted to the zeolite cage. OF COURSE  you know this already. That's why you are taking it! BUT REMEMBER THAT ZEOLITE IS A MINERAL THAT IS MINED FROM THE GROUND. In the ground, it is assaulted with run off, and ground water, air pollution blows across it. Essentially it is exposed to everything you and I are exposed to. The very things you are trying to get out of your body are also deep with in the zeolite cage.

It is ridiculous to think that there are some unethical (or just irresponsible) companies out there that take their zeolite, mix it with some fancy sounding "stuff" and bottle it with out cleaning it! Maybe we should all just head off to the mine with our spoons??

1. "Hydrochloric acid and high heat destroy a zeolite structure (as zeolite was FORMED by heat in the first place when volcanic ash combined with alkaline sea water).  Both of these structure-destroying processes are used in making another liquid zeolite (which is much more expensive and multi-level-marketed), in a effort to "clean the cages".  When you destroy the structure, you create a pool of elements that originally made up the structure.  Even if heavy metals were safe in the cage walls before the process, they are now loose and can be absorbed by the body.  WE DO NOT USE HYDROCHLORIC ACID OR HEAT TO MAKE OUR LIQUID ZEOLITE.  We use the cleanest, safest zeolite ore, in the first place, and use a natural approach to liquefying the zeolite.  No harsh chemical reagents and zeolite-damaging heat-treatment processes are used!  By liquefying zeolite with humic/fulvic, these amazing substances also provide numerous benefits on their own   By further adding structured water and frequency enhancement, we feel our non Rx detoxifying and re-mineralizing supplement (proudly made in the USA) is an amazing product."    First a mineral that is formed from volcanic eruptions will not be harmed by a bit of heat. Secondly, the whole idea is to shake loose the toxins and get rid of them. These poor folks just admitted that their product has heavy metals in them that they don't clean out. Third, there is no such thing as a "cleanest, safest zeolite ore". Zeolite isn't an ore, and it comes from the ground and is exposed to everything we are (see above). Finally they say they "liquefy zeolite with humic/fulvic acid". Zeolite is a mineral. It can NOT be liquefied. Humic/fulvic acids are ACIDIC fillers that allow them to put less or no zeolite in their bottles. (The good news is if there is MORE filler there will be LESS heavy metals because there is LESS zeolite!! They use bright pink colors (pretty!) and practically shout their desperate plea to a vulnerable audience.( I think when you have to yell in pink you really must be losing customers!)  :-) 

2. Zeolite Enhanced Now With DHQ- Robert (not a medical professional) Sopias from "11 natural therapies to conquer cancer" (cancer-fighting-strategies.com). Zeolite Enhanced is a frequency enhanced liquid zeolite, that has been, ever since it was developed, the most potent liquid zeolite supplement available. And much better than any powder or capsule. Bar none. Not because it is specially cleaned or activated, as one major brand touts. That cleaning doesn't help the zeolite get into cancer cells. Not because it has humic or fulvic acid as other brands tout, though it does indeed contain humic acid. Humic acid or fulvic acid both enhance absorption, but don't help zeolite get into cancerous cells. And getting the zeolite into the cancer cells is what you want. That's where zeolite needs to get to, to kill the cancer cell. What sets Zeolite Enhanced above all other zeolites, making its most recent version about 400% more effective at dealing with cancer, is that it has been energized or imbued with special vibrational frequencies 8 or 9 different ways that have three anti-cancer activities, all equally important.

   Once again we see that the Zeolite Enhanced- Now With DHQ is not cleaned. This means it is full of heavy metals and toxins. Once again we see that a manufacturer adds fillers to the zeolite. The REASON they need to add things like DHQ to try to make the zeolite product seem more potent is that a full zeolite cage can not do it's job in your body. Finally, zeolite DOES NOT kill cancer cells!!!!  Neither do vibrational frequencies. Fancy marketing talk can send you to your death!

   Glacial Water Process- that's a fancy way of saying they haven't figured out how to break the very strong bond between zeolite and toxin, and clean the cages.  

Let me take a moment to clear up some of the things other websites are saying about the Original Liquid Zeolite cleaning process. 

First, this is what zeolite looks like from the mine, and then before and after cleaning. You can even see the difference in the color between the raw zeolite and the clean processed zeolite. If you were to take some of that processed zeolite and put it under a microscope you would see it is like tiny grains of sand, or diamond dust. The zeolite crystals take hundreds of thousands of years to form under pressure and extreme conditions. A little ice water is surely not enough to shake loose the toxins held deep within these grains.

What is a Zeolite?

Zeolites belong to a family of naturally occurring volcanic minerals with unique physical and chemical characteristics. There are over forty-eight varieties of natural zeolite minerals with similar structures and molecular makeup, each with its own particular attributes – and there are over a hundred synthetic varieties (made in the lab)

Natural Zeolite Structure

Generally speaking, natural zeolites are hydrated aluminosilicates. They consist of an open, three-dimensional cage-like structure and a vast network of open channels extending throughout. Loosely bound, positively charged atoms called cations, are attached at the junctures of the negatively charged aluminosilicate lattice structure. The aluminosilicate framework provides exceptional strength and stability to the lattice structure.

The channels, typically 0.3 to 0.7 nanometers in diameter (3 to 7 angstroms, slightly larger than a water molecule), selectively screen molecules according to size and exchangeable cations. Molecules too large to pass through the entry channel are excluded, thus giving rise to the term “molecular sieve”.

Zeolites have a rigid, three-dimensional crystalline structure (similar to honeycomb) consisting of a network of interconnected tunnels and cages. Zeolites in general have high specific surface areas and their rigid framework limits shrinking and swelling.
